Our conference will open with Lisette Johnson and Jenny Stonemeier. Ms. Johnson resides in Monticello, Kentucky and will share her story of having worked in a sheltered workshop, for less than minimum wage, and how she was able to secure competitive integrated employment that she enjoys and what her life looks like now! Ms. Stonemeier is the Executive Director of APSE and will share Employment First from a national perspective. This opening session will explore the direction of our field and the impact it is having on real lives!
Our closing session will feature Margaret Gilbride, of the Boggs Center at Rutgers University, sharing ideas about the direction of our field and the real impact we can have every day! She brings a wealth of experience, knowledge & humor and will recharge our batteries for the work that lies ahead.
Thursday after the sessions, join us for our annual Meet & Greet as Trivia Night returns Family Feud Style! Bring a team or come and join a team and have fun!
