Kentucky APSE Call for Board Nominations Hello Kentucky! Kentucky APSE is looking for ten (10) individuals interested in running for three-year terms on the Chapter Board. Being on the board is a great way to take an active role in a coalition advancing a pro-community employment agenda for citizens with disabilities. Requirements for running for the Kentucky APSE Board of Directors: All individuals running for the Kentucky APSE board must have a current membership with APSE. All you need is your name and email address.** Board Member Responsibilities The Kentucky APSE Board provides oversight of chapter activities and determines what areas the chapter will focus on. As a volunteer organization, chapter board members are expected to dedicate time, energy, and ideas to organize and implement chapter activities. Individuals serving on the Kentucky APSE Board must: · Have a demonstrated interest and involvement in inclusive community-based employment for citizens with disabilities. · Support APSE’s Mission and Values – http://www.apse.org/about/mission-vision/ · Participate in monthly board and committee meetings (either in-person or by phone/on-line). · Chair and/or serve on chapter committees, based on the board member’s interests. · Have sufficient time to fully participate in all board activities, and actively contribute and assist with the ongoing development and growth of Kentucky APSE as an organization. · Board membership requires a commitment of approximately 4 to 6 hours per month. |
